Last year, I posted about Child's Play's wonderful year raising money for games, toys & movies for children's hospitals around the world.
This year, they tried to top the $1 million mark. And guess what? They Did It!! - raising $1,024,400.31.

sweet! Child's Play rocks! Great to see how big this thing is growing and for such a good cause. For anyone nothing is cooler than some free games sometimes. Hopefully next year thing get even better as there really seems to be no place but up for them.

Amazing - $2 million in 07.
It is really one of those stories that actually puts a positive spin on children playing video games. In most cases it can be a major distraction and cause withdrawal for kids away from the real world and into perpetual addictive fantasy video game playing. Even when kids rent video games online using their parents credit cards there is at least a modicum of control and filtering available. I say getting free video games to kids in bad situations is a positive influence away from the very real and troubling circumstances they find themselves in.
